In the lore of the Backrooms, there are multiple “levels,” each with unique characteristics. Level 0, the most well-known, is the endless yellow-walled office space where people first find themselves after slipping out of reality. Other levels might include dark industrial tunnels, abandoned malls, or vast empty spaces, each with its own rules and threats. The deeper you go, the stranger and more dangerous things become. Some versions of the myth include entities—creatures Backrooms that roam the levels and pose a threat to anyone trapped inside.
