Image not being selected during 'Image post', even though image is there

I haven’t had much luck with support helping on this so I figured I’d try here.

Support keeps telling me an image isn’t selected for the Image post, even though I’ve submitted numerous screenshots proving this is not the case.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? My post has an image in the post content and also a featured image, but when I try to post the generic error message says ‘no image found’ … which isn’t helpful because the image IS there.
