FB Tagging in status text?

Once upon a time, there was a way to format plain text messages to Facebook (e.g. comments or status text) so that you could include a link to a FB profile, something like [0:##FBIDNUM###]. Does anyone know how to make that work these days, or is it just a no-go? (The idea is that I can write a social network post that will appear on multiple pages, and “sign” it with a “tag” linking to my main page.)

Facebook is no longer offering that functionality in it’s API. The removed it specifically for the reason you mentioned. The don’t want you to spam other peoples’ pages by tagging them.

Was afraid of that, but thank you for confirming. Also, thanks for creating easily the best money I’ve spent on a website tool, ever. This is a seriously great plugin, and I’m eagerly looking forward to v4!
