How does one get SNAP to send to tumblr the current date, even on old posts. If u setup a new tumblr and posts old WP posts it uses the old date which can be a nuisance.
Is there a way around this?April 6, 2014 at 12:39 pm #181295
SNAP keeps the original date of post where possibleApril 7, 2014 at 10:14 pm #181683NurgleParticipant
isnt that pointless on a repost?April 8, 2014 at 8:54 am #181817
It depends on how do you consider re-posts. Basically “Re-posting” functionality is for syncing your WP Blog with your tumblr blog. For example you just installed SNAP, but you have blogposts from two years back. SNAP can submit those posts to your tumblr blog keeping your original dates, so people who read your tumblr blog could see when the post was written. it does, would be nice to repost as well if u wanted with the current date, as im sure many of us treat tumblr as a separate blog, which is being fed from our WP oneNovember 27, 2014 at 7:16 pm #325191DislikeitParticipant
I also would this (re-post with current date, not old date)! I think it is very useful to have a tumblr alive, also when there is no new post (holidays and so on).
I hope more of us who want that feature say “hello” here, so we can ask for the feature in a future release 🙂December 1, 2014 at 3:15 pm #329412
Sure, we will add this option to the next release.March 26, 2015 at 2:36 pm #399437SirKacParticipant
This patch is already implemented? I use version 3.4.15 and I still have this problemOctober 26, 2015 at 8:05 am #466141PenelopeParticipant
version 3.4.26 and me too still have this problem 🙁October 26, 2015 at 8:16 am #466146PenelopeParticipant
here is the solution: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/tumblr-keep-original-post-date-not-working?replies=3 somebody should update this in the next version, so we, who want to use actual date instead original date, dont need to edit the plugin after every update
