I thought it might be just that but I didn’t want to risk it just in case I lost the ability to post!
Bummer – I’m back to Facebook locking my account every 3 days again after my host moved my site to a new server (different IP address). Hopefully after a couple more weeks of this it will settle down again like previously.
Specifically it is the ‘/inc/nxs-functions.php’ file that they are flagging as malware.
Note that GoDaddy own Sucuri so there is a chance that similar code will be flagged by Sucuri in the WordPress plugin…
This was working for me without interruption since 1st September. Just now my session was closed across all devices and I had to get new session data for SNAP.
This time though Facebook just said the session had expired. I didn’t have to make a new password. Still annoying but not quite as annoying as having to think of a new password every 3 days.
Will see if this happens every 3 days again like it did in July/August.
I gave up on waiting, and went back to my own keys and secret I created a long time ago and have not had a problem since. Too risky for my clients to keep getting logged out, until I find a viable alternative or decide to keep using my own which isn’t a problem.
I have to ask….: If you already have an approved app that allows you to post using the official API from Facebook then why would yo ube using the unofficial NextScripts beta API?!

Also, the API on the My Account page says 4.4.40 (July, 2, 2019) – it’s August now 😉

However I can’t update the WordPress API as I get a 403 forbidden error when my server tried to connect to your server.
Is there a way I can manually update the WP plugin? Or copy it over from a store in a different server where it works?

I had a reply to my ticket that suggested using the xs value from m.facebook.com
My 3 days are up and I was locked out again for ‘suspicious activity’ so I have set it up again now using m.facebook.com – will see if I get more than 3 days this time!
Those with this issue are you using the WordPress plugin or the PHP Pro API?
I’m wondering if it’s to du with the fact that the Pro API hasn’t been updated for a few months (like the Instagram issues we’re having).
For me it posts but with no title or description or hashtags or anything, just a plain image.
Is that with the WordPress plugin or the Pro API?
What settings are you using for image cropping etc?
Same problem here, now also using Session id. Account continue to be temporarily locked by Facebook.
Is that ‘due to suspicious activity’ and requires you to change the password? I’ve had that 2 times this week using the PHP API (v4.4.16 as there’s still no update for that version). It’s meant I’ve had to re setup a lot of scripts that needed the session variable…
Don’t know if this is related but my Facebook account has been blocked twice this week requiring a new password. I’m wondering if this is because WordPress is using a newer version of the API than my standalone stuff that uses the older PHP Pro API?!
looks like they are never gonna update the php code..
I’m sure they will. The support page says not to expect replies on a weekend and, depending on timezone, it could only be midday on a Monday.
