Hi, I am having a bit of trouble connecting to Facebook. The issue I am seeing is error 2.7. where I try to authorize my account but Facebook returns a black screen (Authorization error: “Can’t Load URL” or “Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration” > Completely BLANK page right after you click “Authorize account”)

I have attempted to follow the support FAQ https://www.nextscripts.com/support-faq/#a27 but I was unsuccessful because “Use Strict Mode for redirect URIs” is greyed out and I cannot set it to no. I have the correct domain and URL in the 3 places on Facebook suggested by the support FAQ.

Do you know what else I need to do here so that I can turn off redirect URIs? Or can you suggest an alternative solution to connect my Facebook account?

I opened a ticket with support but I have not heard back.

    Thank you for your time.

It’s hard to tell right away, you need to study the issue in more detail

I faced a similar issue with Facebook authorization errors when trying to connect my app. Despite following all the recommended steps, including setting up the correct redirect URIs and domains, I still encountered that frustrating blank screen. What helped me eventually was double-checking the app’s permissions and making sure the Facebook app was in development mode turned off. Also, sometimes caching issues in the browser can cause trouble, so clearing cookies or trying a different browser helped. If you need a break from troubleshooting, I suggest trying a fun game like Block Blast for some light entertainment.
